Shepherd's of Westminster

Tucked away in the heart of Westminster on the ground floor of the iconic Marsham Court (where Hugh Grant starred in ‘A Very English Scandal’) there has been a restaurant on the site of Shepherd’s since 1936.

Fully licensed for civil marriages and civil partnerships Shepherd’s is the ideal location for both the ceremony and the celebrations. Guests are greeted with a glass of Champagne in our elegant cocktail bar, before being ushered through to the iconic St Stephen’s Room – where many presidents and prime ministers have dined over the decades. The more intimate Marsham Room is set aside for the preparations.

Once the ceremony is complete guests can relax in the main restaurant for a stand up buffet, drinks reception with canapés – or more formal sit-down wedding breakfast. Menus can be discussed in person with our events manager and our head chef.

For photographic backdrops Vincent Square, Smith Square, Abingdon Green and St James’s Park are all within a few minutes walk. The Palace of Westminster and Buckingham Palace make for ideal back-drops, as does the sweeping majesty of the river Thames.

Whether you are considering having your special day on a weekday or a weekend, in the daytime or the evenings, Shepherd’s represents a convenient, flexible and affordable venue.
